The word for today is “Finish”. It is time to Finish what you started. If you have not started, It is never too late to begin. What the Lord has called you to and to do is not a seasonal thing. It is a DESTINY thing. No longer limit yourself. God is able is to do exceedingly and abundantly above all you can even ask, think and imagine. With men this seems impossible, but with God all things are possible. It is time to get out of the boat. The boat represents comfort zone. The boat serves a purpose at the time it is needed; however, it was not created for you to stay in it. At some point you have to Get Out. You have been in the boat long enough, the boat has help you to get to your destination; but if you stay in it too long you will get comfortable and remain stuck. This is not the time to be stuck, there are lives for you to reach outside of the boat. You have gifts, talents, abilities, you have ministry in you that is not meant for you to keep to yourself, but it is meant to Give Glory to God and to Make an Impact in the Lives of Others. Stop sitting in the boat waiting for things to come all together. It will come together as you Get Out, Make a Move, Finish What You Started. As you get out of the boat remember to keep your focus on Jesus. Do not get distracted by what is going on around you and what you see, but maintain a clear focus on Jesus. He will be your help as you Finish What You Started.
New International Version (NIV)
22 Immediately Jesus made the disciples get into the boat and go on ahead of him to the other side, while he dismissed the crowd. 23 After he had dismissed them, he went up on a mountainside by himself to pray. Later that night, he was there alone, 24 and the boat was already a considerable distance from land, buffeted by the waves because the wind was against it.
25 Shortly before dawn Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake. 26 When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. “It’s a ghost,” they said, and cried out in fear.
27 But Jesus immediately said to them: “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”
28 “Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.”
29 “Come,” he said then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. 30 But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!”
31 Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?”
32 And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down. 33 Then those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, “Truly you are the Son of God.”
